Culture for Kids in the Arts (CKA) is dedicated to providing access to quality arts programming to children and youth in the greater Hamilton region.
Connecting kids to creativity to build a better community: Culture for Kids in the Arts expands the learning potential of children and youth through high quality community-based arts experiences and arts educator training and employment programs.
Culture for Kids in the Arts (CKA) is a catalyst for innovative community-based arts, training and employment programs that foster civic engagement by making participation in the arts available to each and every child and youth in greater Hamilton.
Culture for Kids in the Arts is a registered charitable organization dedicated to providing high quality arts experiences for children and youth, regardless of their financial circumstances. Designed to promote arts in education, Culture for Kids in the Arts programming encourages students to expand their learning potential through their natural enjoyment of the performing and visual arts. No previous art making experience is necessary to engage with our programming.
We operate out of a historic arts education building in the centre of the City in a shared facility that represents a vibrant cultural hub within our community and proudly partner with Hamilton community groups and artists to realize the vast creative learning potential in students by engagement in performing, visual, and media arts.
Under the ongoing leadership of Director Vitek Wincza and our committed Board of Directors, CKA continues to experience steady growth while ensuring arts accessibility for children and employment opportunities for practicing and emerging artists. Our new Strategic Plan 2016 – 2021 will guide our growth and direction over the next five years.
